Big Shoulders Realty is a small Chicago-based company devoted to creating the perfect experience when buying or selling property. We started Big Shoulders because homebuyers and sellers need a better alternative. After years in the business, we are frustrated by all the bad actors, stale ideas and endless property sameness. And we aren’t alone.

We believe that opportunities exist even in down markets. We can help people make sustainable, affordable, and manageable decisions when buying or selling their property. Whether it is helping our clients find homes they love and love to live in, or find investment properties to build a portfolio, we are here to advise and assist every step of the way. We can help you learn about house styles and neighborhoods as well as provide references for qualified professionals who will help you maintain, restore, or renovate your property.

Check Out Our Temporary Digs

Big Shoulders Realty has opened our temporary digs next door and above where we will eventually lay our head. Our office is bright and sunny and built for comfort. We don’t necessarily hold regular office hours, but are happy to make appointments to see you at your convenience, and if you don’t care to visit the 50’s inspired splendor of our engineering-age decorated office in Jefferson Park, we’ll happily come to you. In the interim, here are some pics of the Big Shoulders Realty office. We are conveniently located on Milwaukee Avenue, just south of Lawrence, a few blocks from the Jefferson Park Station and 2 minutes from the Kennedy. There is ample meter parking on Milwaukee.
